About the Craftsman
Ozan Gulec is a New York artist and master craftsman whose journey began at age nine, learning the fundamentals of woodwork long before his formal training. A top‑ranking graduate of the prestigious Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul, Ozan brought his expertise to New York in 1999, where he has since been designing and building for a sophisticated Manhattan clientele. His work spans restoring century‑old Central Park townhouses, designing custom cabinetry, and collaborating with architects and developers to create world‑class environments. Unlike brands that outsource production, Ozan remains the actual maker, personally overseeing every detail from his Manhattan studio to his industrial factory in Lynbrook. By performing all engineering, professional finishing, and installation in‑house, he ensures a level of precision and artistic integrity built on decades of hands‑on experience.
